2012-15 Suzuki Kizashi, SX-4 recalled
400 vehicles affected by potential CVT issue
Suzuki has recalled the Kizashi and SX-4 over concerns a manufacturing error could cause problems with the continuously-variable transmission.
According to the company, a resistor on the circuit board inside the CVT controller could develop a crack in its soldered portion.
If the condition occurs, the CVT controller may not maintain transmission oil pressure properly, leading to restricted vehicle speed and sluggish acceleration.
A total of 167 cars are included in the Kizashi campaign, and 244 in the SX-4 campaign – VIN lists are attached here (Kizashi) and here (SX4).
Affected owners will be contacted by mail, and told to take their car to a dealer for a free fix.
