Mitsubishi Australia has announced a range-wide safety and equipment upgrade for the 2011 Pajero.
While the styling of the updated Pajero remains unchanged, the entire range - from the entry GL to the top-shelf Exceed - gets side and curtain airbags.
The new airbags join existing safety features that include Active Stability Control, Active Traction Control, Engine Brake Assist Control, ABS and Electronic Brake-force Distribution.
The Pajero line-up is also equipped with Super Select 4WD II, All Terrain Technology and Mitsubishi Body Optimised Suspension.
A reversing sensor is now fitted to every model as standard equipment, while the VRX is equipped with a Rockford Acoustic Design 12-speaker audio package and HID (high-intensity discharge) headlights with auto-levelling, dusk sensors and washers.
Rain-sensing wipers and a cargo blind are also standard for the VRX.
The Pajero is available with either a 3.8 litre petrol engine or a 3.2 litre diesel engine, both available with manual and automatic transmissions.
