Hennessey set to produce a Veyron slayer

Hennessey is not a company well known in Australia but their reputation in the States is well known by car enthusiasts. Hennessey specialise in taking factory performance cars from mild to wild with the development and fitting of purpose built tuning parts. They have waved their tuning wand over a number of America’s best known performance cars, including the recently released Dodge Viper SRT10 and Ford GT. They are not shy about dabbling with Euro exotica either with the Audi R8 being the latest Euro supercar to receive the Hennessey once over.

Edo Competition work their magic on the Ferrari 599 GTB

Exotic machinery often ends up butchered at the hands of the worlds various tuner firms. Huge wings, bad body kits and often little respect for the beautiful styling of the original car. The lunatics at Germany’s Edo Competition seem to be able to push the boundaries and get away with it. Their creations somehow blend the classic lines of the original with a good dose of street cred and their latest work on Ferrari’s 599 GTB is no exception.

The Ferrari 599 GTB is my personal favourite in the current Ferrari line-up and Edo Competition have taken it and turned up the heat a notch or three. Lowered by 40mm in each corner handling is assisted by Edo/KW adjustable suspension while aesthetic enhancements include the addition of custom painted 20” wheels with stainless steel outer rims.

Prodrive develop upgrade kits for WRX and STi

The folks over at Prodrive have been busy putting their Group N and Rally experience to good use and have cobbled together a couple of go-faster kits for the new Subaru Impreza WRX and WRX STi.

While details regarding the tamer WRX kit are not yet known the STi upgrade will boost power to a handy 295kW/395hp and comes complete with an improved braking package to ensure you can still tame the beast.

Brilliance achieves 3 star Euro NCAP no BS

If you think that China’s fledgling car industry doesn’t have what it takes to be a force to be reckoned with…think again. Just 79 days after shocking the world with an apalling Euro NCAP crash test result that had us all in concerned fits of laughter - the Brilliance BS6 is back and the difference is remarkable.
