Alfa Romeo 4C Spider priced from $99k
Italian brand’s mini-supercar now available without a roof.
Alfa Romeo has begun taking orders for the new 4C Spider.
The convertible version of the brand's mini-supercar, the 4C, is priced from $99,000 plus on-road and dealer costs.
That is a $10,000 premium on the coupe but it undercuts it's closest rival, the Porsche Boxster, by $6100 (the Boxster range starts at $105,100).
Unlike the coupe that arrived in Australia in February in two specifications, standard and Launch Edition, the roofless variant is available in a single trim level.
Power for the Spider comes from the same 177kW 1.7-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine found in the coupe.
In keeping with the performance orientated nature of the 4C the convertible roof requires manual operation with storage inside the luggage compartment.
