A posse of customised Volkswagen Beetles has rolled into this week's SEMA show, along with one - likely last - special version of the current Golf 6.
The group is headlined by the 'Ultimate Super (...Special Extreme Terrific Fantastic? - Ed) Beetle' concept, tuned together with APR Performance and the VWVortex collective.
Overhauling the new bug's 2.0 litre TFSI petrol engine, APR boosted output from 150 to a whopping 372kW, achieved through the addition of a new turbocharger and intercooler setup, a high-flow cylinder head and intake manifold, an ECU tune, and stronger pistons.
The Ultimate Super Beetle also picks up Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive, taken from the Golf R.
There's also a new clutch, new suspension, six-piston brakes, 19-inch wheels and a sports body kit.
