Volkswagen has expanded its Tiguan medium SUV range with the addition of a new Tiguan Adventure model, creating a more rugged visual package for its family SUV.
Based on the Tiguan Comfortline the Adventure adds off road-ready features like additional underbody protection, and a new front bumper that increases the Tiguan’s approach angle to 24 degrees.
Other inclusions with the Adventure package include Volkswagen genuine accessory roof racks, and a set of 18-inch ‘Nizza’ design alloy wheels.
Compared with the regular Tiguan Comfortline the Adventure also adds heated front sport seats, microfibre and cloth interior trim, 14-way adjustable driver’s seat with massage function, heated front comfort sport seats, keyless entry and ignition, power tailgate with hands-free open and close function, power folding mirrors, LED headlights and aluminium front sill plates with ‘off-road’ lettering.
Volkswagen is offering the Tiguan Adventure with two different engine options, the turbo petrol 132TSI priced from $43,990 plus on-road costs and the 110TDI turbo diesel from $45,490 plus on-road costs, both with all wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic as standard.
Buyers will also be able to add an optional Driver Assistance Package and panoramic sunroof, with a choice of exterior colours including Pure White, Tungsten Silver, Indium Grey and Deep Black Pearl, and an Adventure-exclusive Atlantic Blue.
