Passenger car sales in Australia took a hit in April. Most best-selling segments recorded a drop in sales that can partly be attributed to ANZAC Day, Easter and school holidays.
Sales of sub-light, light, small, medium, sports and utility models are all down on the same month last year, with the sub-light city-car market taking the biggest hit, down 46.1 percent.
Small SUVs are still showing strong growth, up 47.5 percent, while medium SUVs are also up slightly on the same month last year.
