Toyota HiLux Tonka Concept Coming To A 4WD Show Near You

Toyota has given Santa something to worry about over the next nine months, with every five year-old sure to request their own version of its new concept Tonka Truck.

Based on the HiLux pickup, the big, yellow, go-anywhere off-roader was built to celebrate the popularity of the dual-cab workhorse and celebrate Tonka's 70th anniversary.

The Tonka HiLux also serves a serious purpose, highlighting Toyota's investment in its 150-strong product planning and development division that is still active in Australia despite the impending closure of its manufacturing facilities.
