The BBC has revealed a long list of new hosts who will take to the wheel of its Top Gear motoring program in 2016.

Top Gear’s former hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond have moved to host a new show for streaming service Amazon, and Top Gear fans have been speculating as to who would take over since the trio departed.

BBC Radio host Chris Evans was the first to be confirmed in the ‘hosting’ role, but the broadcaster has played its cards close in slowly revealing the personalities who will accompany Evans.

Earlier this year, Germany’s ‘first lady’ of the Nurburgring, Sabine Schmitz, and motoring journalist Chris Harris were also confirmed as presenters - and fans would have been forgiven for thinking the trio formula was to remain.

But instead, the BBC has now confirmed that three more faces will be seen on the show’s new version, including US actor Matt LeBlanc, UK journalist Rory Reid and former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan.
