Subaru’s stand at next month’s Tokyo Auto Salon will feature seven cars - three of which are new concepts.

All of the new concepts have been given the STI treatment, and all are based on current Subaru models.

The first is called the STI Performance Concept (pictured), which is based on Subaru’s BRZ coupe.

The STI Performance is powered by Subaru’s 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol engine, much like the regular BRZ, but fans will be pleased to learn the carmaker has added a turbocharger. Other additions include brake and suspension upgrades.

Subaru’s XV SUV lends itself to the next concept, called the XV Hybrid STI.
