Skoda's all-new third generation Superb sedan and wagon arrived in Australia this week, offering limo-like dimensions and plenty of high-end features at an affordable price.

The range begins with the $39,990 Superb 162TSI sedan, which utilises the same 162kW/350Nm turbocharged 2.0 litre engine as the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

The diesel Superb 140TDI sits in the middle of the range and the powerful 206kW Superb 4x4 is the flagship at $50,990.

When quizzed about the Sprint project, Burn was entirely candid: Ford’s budget to bring the model to life was modest, but there weren’t any big-ticket items the engineering team had to leave behind. This is the Sprint Ford wanted to build.
