Every carmaker has a museum of past models lovingly maintained over the decades, or carefully restored cars tracked down and secured from enthusiasts.

For Swedish carmaker Saab, that includes the company's very first car, the 1946 92001, through to the classic 96, 99, 900 and 9000 models, and even the Subaru Impreza-based 9-2x. It's all there, over 120 cars.

Now, with Saab's administrators moving to complete the liquidation of the carmaker's assets, those slices of history will soon hit the auction block.

Swedish law firm Delphi has published a list of vehicles that will be offered, including production models and concepts, from the UrSaab prototype through to the new 9-3 previewing Phoenix concept revealed last year.

Other examples include the 96-based shooting brake-styled 98, the 1970 96 V4 rally car and the 1981 James Bond Saab 900 Turbo.

Saab enthusiast website SaabsUnited has kicked off a campaign this week to build the funds needed to buy the more unique vehicles. Click through to get up to speed with the project.
