Rolls-Royce has confirmed the debut of its new Ghost-based coupe will mark the return of the Wraith name, last seen on a model produced between 1938 and 1939.

Scheduled to appear at March's Geneva Motor Show, the Wraith will be the most powerful model ever to wear the Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament.

Power in the big two-door is expected to come from an enhanced version of the 420kW 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 that drives the Ghost, with reports pointing to a nearly 450kW output.
