Renault has confirmed it will show off its new 300kW Alpine A110-50 concept at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking its first UK appearance.

The A110-50 will participate in the event's famous 1.87km hill climb. It will be joined by the Alpine A443, along with Renaultsport's RS01 and RE40 F1 cars, the R5 Maxi Turbo rally car, and the Megane Trophy race car.

Among the pilots at the wheel of the carmaker's Goodwood cars will be Renault COO Carlos Tavares and racing legend Alain Prost.

Renault will also remind showgoers of its sporting and technology history with a display that will include the Type K (featuring the brand's first four-cylinder engine) and the Viva Grand Sport, through to the Megane RS and Clio RS cars

The A110-50 was revealed only a few weeks ago, but Renault says it has one more surprise destined for Goodwood, "sure to cause quite a stir".
