Jaguar has recalled its 2016 XJ this week, due to a potential problem with the driver’s airbag.

The carmaker says a malformed canister is restricting the flow of gas to inflate the airbag when needed.

The problem may cause the airbag to inflate at a rate slower than specification, meaning its effectiveness during a collision may be reduced.

The recall affects just seven examples of the XJ, built between May and June of this year. Further, Jaguar says only four of the seven have been delivered to customers, with the remaining three being in Jaguar’s local fleet.

The recall procedure will see the driver’s airbag replaced with a new unit.

Mercedes-Benz Vito Recalled For Brake Reservoir Remedy

Mercedes-Benz is recalling its Vito van, due to a potential problem with the brake fluid reservoir.

The reservoir may not have been secured properly during manufacturing. Movement over time may allow brake fluid to leak.

Should this occur, the effectiveness of the braking system may be reduced, potentially creating a hazard for the vehicle occupants and other road users.

Affected vehicles were sold between March last year and May of this year, and a total of 2134 Vitos are on the recall list.
