Recalls – Dodge Caliber | Jeep Compass | Jeep Patriot | Chrysler Sebring Recalled For Restraint System Fix

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia has recalled a trio of models this week, due to a potential problem with the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) system.

The carmaker has identified a weakness with the front impact sensor wires, which may be susceptible to an electrical short.

Should this occur, the vehicle’s airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners may not operate as intended during a collision, which could pose a hazard to the vehicle occupants.

The affected models include the 2010-2012 Dodge Caliber, the 2010-2014 Jeep Compass, the 2010-2014 Jeep Patriot and the 2010 Chrysler Sebring.
