Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Revealed

Just weeks after announcing what looked to be the last new offering in the current generation - the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 - Porsche has revealed another: the 911 Carrera 4 GTS.

Available in Coupe and Cabriolet form, the Carrera 4 GTS combines Porsche's all-wheel-drive system with the 3.8 litre engine from the rear-wheel-drive Carrera GTS.

Power from the flat-six engine is rated at 305kW at 7300rpm and 420Nm of torque between 4200 and 5600rpm. The 0-100km/h sprint is covered in 4.6 seconds for the Coupe (4.4 in PDK auto form), and 4.8 seconds for the Cabriolet.

The 3.8 litre six is mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with Porsche's seven-speed PDK transmission available as an option.

Fuel consumption is listed at 11.0 l/100km for the Coupe, and 11.2 l/100km for the Cabriolet.

Features for the Carrera 4 GTS include 19-inch RS Spyder alloy wheels with centre locks, along with Porsche's Sport Design bumper, lip spoiler and skirts.

A reflective connecting strip joins the rear taillights, and Carrera 4 GTS badges adorn the engine cover and doors.

In the cabin, the Carrera 4 GTS gets Alcantara trim to the dash, doors, steering wheel, gear shifter and handbrake lever.
