Poland's first supercar, from Arrinera Automotive, has been teased in production form. Last seen as a concept in 2010, these new images reveal a more original design.

The as-yet unnamed carbon fibre-clothed wonder packs a mid-mounted 6.2 litre supercharged V8, producing 478kW and a dizzying 820Nm of torque.

The engine is a GM-sourced LS9, normally seen in the Corvette ZR1, and Arrinera says it will offer more power for cashed-up customers.

Under the carbon and Kevlar skin, the supercar follows the tried and tested tubular space-frame formula to help keep the weight under 1400kg.

We're also told that a Graziano transmission will shift all that power and torque to the rear wheels, flinging the car to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds, and to a top speed of 340km/h.

The teaser images are dark and a little mystifying at first glance, but it's a meaner, edgier design than the early sketches which were criticised for looking a little too much like current Lamborghinis.
