Local Peugeot distributor Sime Darby has introduced sharper pricing across much of its Australian range this week, along with drive-away deals on a number of models.

Cuts to retail prices range from $747 to $1604 - although a handful of models remain unchanged - while new drive-away offers amount to around $5500 in savings when measured against earlier pricing.

Some of the biggest savings come with the small 308, which only last month was given a new $21,990 drive-away price for the entry-level Access manual, and $24,690 when equipped with an automatic transmission.

That pair is now joined by the auto-equipped Active, priced at $29,990 drive-away - compared to a previous before-costs price of $28,340.

"The decision to roll out drive-away pricing to a wider selection of vehicles was in part due to a positive response to the recent 308 drive-away offer," Peugeot Australia boss John Startari said today.

"Ultimately, the winners with our new pricing are customers. From 208 to 508 our latest vehicles are great to drive and great to look at. Now, with drive-away pricing, they represent even greater value."

The wider 308 range, although not blessed with drive-away pricing, benefits from significant price cuts, with only the recently launched 308 GT holding steady.
