The flood of Paris Motor Show unveilings continues today, with yet another concept revealed ahead of the event's opening day later this month.

Nissan's latest show-car offering is the Terra concept, offering a look at what could be the next-generation overseas Xterra SUV - with an alternative-energy twist.

The Terra takes its styling cues from green stablemate the Leaf hatch, along with the little Juke crossover, combining to preview a future-focused take on the SUV look.

Unlike the lithium-ion fueled Leaf, the Terra is a Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV). This means that while both cars are driven by an electric powertrain, this new concept is powered by hydrogen.

Nissan is no stranger to FCEV technology, with a special hydrogen-electric version of the X-Trail lapping the Nurburgring back in 2008.

Reports in the past year also suggest that Nissan is preparing to launch a range of FCEV production models before the end of the decade, complementing its existing EV line-up.

Look for more details on the Terra concept through TMR's Paris Motor Show coverage later this month.
