Nissan Sway Concept Confirmed For Geneva: New Micra Coming?

Nissan’s compact Micra may be about to shake off the ‘cutesy’ look that has driven solid sales around the world since its first appearance in 1982.

The Micra, known in its homeland as the March, started life with the same boxy lines that dominated the ‘80s, before slowly growing into the bubble that we know now.

Now, Nissan has released the first teaser for a new compact concept dubbed ‘Sway’, offering a first look at what could be the fifth-generation Micra.

Today’s teaser is accompanied by a hint-filled question: “What would happen if we applied the same radical thinking and quality standards to one of the most important sectors in Europe: the small hatchback?”

“The Nissan Sway concept is a glimpse at how a future generation of small Nissan models could look if the company’s striking new design language was applied to a European hatchback,” the teaser adds.
