This year's Sao Paulo Motor Show will see Nissan lift the covers from a new concept, described by the company's design boss  simply as "dramatic".

A product of Nissan's Californian studio, Nissan Design America, the company says that the concept will enter production in Brazil.

“I’m so excited because I will be in Sao Paulo to reveal the concept car. It is the birth of something special for Nissan and it will be a hugely significant milestone in our plans for Brazil,” Nakamura said.

The concept is Nissan's first car designed specifically for the burgeoning Brazilian market and with input from Brazilian designers.

With Brazil as its target, it is possible that Nissan plans to unveil the first of its new Datsun cars, aimed at emerging markets with a budget-focused price tag.

The new model is scheduled to be in production before the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio, which Nissan is also sponsoring.

The Sao Paolo Motor Show kicks off on October 24.
