Toyota to bid farewell to its local manufacturing operations with new special edition Toyota Camry Hybrid.
The Japanese carmaker has built 54 examples of the Commemorative Edition Camry Hybrids, one for each year the brand has produced cars in Australia.
Based on the top of the range Camry Hybrid Atara SL grade, the limited editions will be priced from $41,150 before on-road costs, $710 more than the standard model.
Special touches include metallic silver paintwork with a black roof, a flourish of red on the front grille's lower lip, blue illumination in the footwell and scuff plates, sports mesh interior and commemorative edition floor mats and badging.
Power for the hybrid comes from a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine coupled with an electric motor which produces 151kW and 213Nm and is paired to a CVT automatic transmission. Fuel use is rated at 5.2L/100km.
Toyota will keep one of the limited editions to put on displat in the TMC Museum in Japan.
The Toyota Camry Hybrid Commemorative Editions are now on sale.
