Although MINI has already shown its new ‘six-door’ Clubman, its public debut occurs tomorrow with the opening of the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Taller, wider and longer than both the previous generation Clubman, and MINI’s five-door Cooper range, the new Clubman lines up against versatile hatches like the Mercedes-Benz B-Class, Citroen C4 Picasso, and even parent company, BMW’s 2 Series Active Tourer.
Initially MINI announced an engine lineup that included a 100kW/220Nm Cooper Clubman running a three-cylinder 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine capable of a 0-100 km/h sprint of 9.1 seconds with fuel consumption rated between 5.3 and 5.1 l/100km.
