While you can probably fry an egg on a car bonnet in Tennant Creek today, it’s the opposite in wintery North Sweden where BMW is testing the new X3 SUV.
Operating out of a town called Arjeplog, Lapland – just 56kms south of the Polar Circle – the German team is putting the xDrive four-wheel-drive technology (and of course the dynamic stability and traction control) through the ringer in temperatures 20 degrees below freezing as the latest X3 gets ready for launch later this year.
