Mitsubishi Australia has added a new Platinum grade to a quartet of its best-selling models, adding a number of features and comfort options at no additional cost.

The Lancer, ASX, Outlander and Pajero are now available in the strictly limited-edition up-specced offer.

Lancer Platinum Edition

Based on the entry-level ES model (and unchanged in price), the Lancer Platinum Edition adds a reversing camera and sensors, along with leather seats, heated up front and with powered controls on the driver's side.

There is also a leather-wrapped centre console and steering wheel with Bluetooth and audio controls, 16-inch alloy wheels, side air dams, a chrome muffler tip and, of course, a "Platinum" badge.

The Lancer Platinum Edition is available for $21,690 for the manual version and $24,190 for the automatic.

ASX Platinum Edition

The two-wheel-drive ASX Platinum Edition picks up a reversing camera and sensors, steering-mounted audio and bluetooth controls, a chrome muffler tip, front fog lamps and Platinum badging.

Based on the entry-level ASX, the ASX Platinum is priced at $25,990 for the manual and $28,490 for the automatic.

Outlander Platinum

Limited to 1000 units and based on the entry-level LS variant, the Outlander Platinum adds a slew of features to the manual and automatic versions of both the 4x2 and 4x4 model, at no extra cost.

A reversing camera and sensors have been added to the 4x2 and 4x4 models, while the 4x2 version gains the side and curtain airbags that were already standard with the 4x4.

There's leather seats inside, heated up front and power-adjustable on the driver's side, along with silver detailing to the door handles, console panel and rear door trim.

Fog lamps, a chrome muffler tip, steering-mounted Bluetooth controls and a Platinum badge round out the tweaks.

The Outlander Platinum is priced at $29,340 (manual) and $31,840 (auto) for the 4x2 version, and $33,490 (manual) and $35,990 (auto) for the 4x4.

Pajero Platinum

The Pajero soldiers on into 2012, and 2000 of the limited-edition Platinum variants have returned to showrooms.

Based on the GLX variant, the Pajero Platinum adds privacy glass, chrome exterior door handles and door mirrors, integrated side steps, fog lamps, chrome radiator grille and Platinum badging.

Inside, the Platinum picks up Mitsubishi's touch-screen system with a reversing camera, along with steering-mounted audio controls, dusk-sensing headlights and rain-sensing wipers.

There is also a leather steering wheel and gear shifter, rear-zone air conditioning, Platinum floor mats and an 850w Rockford Fosgate 12-speaker audio system.

The Pajero Platinum is priced at $59,990.

Note: all prices above exclude dealer delivery and on-road costs.
