MINI’s extended wheelbase, four-door Clubman model now has a racy John Cooper Works (JCW) variant priced at $53,900 (plus on-road costs).

It arrives claiming a couple of milestones for Mini: the first new generation Mini to combine the JCW specification with all-wheel-drive (and the first to use the latest ‘All4’ system) and it has the highest torque so far (350Nm) from the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine.

The updated electro-hydraulic All4 system is lighter and more efficient and works in conjunction with the dynamic stability control system.

Maximum power remains 170kW and drive is via an eight-speed sports Steptronic automatic transmission (a six-speed manual is a no-cost option).
