Mercedes-Benz has run out a pair of handling-focused packages for its C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series, the hero of the updated C-Class  line-up.

Revealed in August ahead of its mid-2012 Australian launch, the C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series is powered by an overhauled version of the regular C 63 AMG Coupe's 6.2 litre V8, producing a sternum-cracking 380kW and 600Nm of torque.

Buyers battling their Black Series' for control have gained the upperhand with the AMG Track and AMG Aerodynamic packages announced at Frankfurt this week.

Tick the Track box, and your C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series will be fitted with 255/35 R 19 Dunlop tyres up front, and 285/30 R 19 tyres at the rear.

The Track pack also adds an active rear-axle transmission cooling system.

Add the Aerodynamics pack and your Black Series will benefit from flics on the front bumper, a carbon-fibre front splitter and an adjustable carbon-fibre rear wing.

Other optional carbon fibre extras for the C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series include exterior mirrors, side sill and diffuser inserts, and interior highlights. There's also a keyless start system available, along with a fire extinguisher and privacy tint for the side and rear windows.
