Mercedes-Benz in Australia has recalled its large AMG S 63 Coupe due to a potential issue with the front seatbelts.

The front seatbelts may have been incorrectly fitted during production, and this may affect the ‘locking behaviour’ of the seatbelt and its pre-tensioning system in the event of a collision.

Mercedes said the seatbelt may not restrain the seat occupant to its full potential when required, leading to an increased risk of injury.

A total of 53 cars are affected by the recall.

Scania is recalling its K and N series buses built on KUB, KEB, KIB, KUA, NUB and NUA chassis, due to a potential steering issue.

The bus-builder says the steering wheel may be making contact with the steering column when the steering wheel has been adjusted to its lowest position and is turned at the same time.

If so, more effort may be required to turn the steering wheel - reducing steering capacity and posing a potential risk to the driver, passengers and other road users.

Performax International is recalling 2014 and 2015 models from its Ford F-250 and F-350 range, sold between May 2014 and August of this year.

The affected vehicles have not had a steering damper fitted during conversion, and this may result in uncontrolled movement or oscillation of the vehicle steering mechanism.

The relevant manufacturers will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
