Lexus has at last launched its all-new and first-ever RC coupe in Australia this week, following its Tokyo unveiling this time last year.
Arriving locally ahead of the flagship 351kW RC F coupe, the new 233kW RC 350 is priced from $66,000 plus on-roads.
That starting point makes the Lexus around $4000 more accessible than BMW’s considerably less powerful 135kW 420i Coupe - and a massive $42,530 cheaper to climb into than the 225kW 435i Coupe.
The decision for buyers not encumbered with kidlets could be made even tougher, with the RC’s opening price set a mere $600 above the IS sedan.
"The RC 350 is a very important vehicle for us - it provides a clear aspirational target and injects a stronger connection to the brand, combining with its strong quality and innovation hallmarks," Lexus Australia boss Sean Hanley said today.
