Toyota's Germany-based TMG (Toyota Motorsport GmbH) is in pursuit of perfection, working away on its special Lexus LS muscle car.
Due for an unveiling at the coming Essen Motor Show, the hardcore sedan is known as the TS-650, and TMG says its focus is on top power - and a road-legal build.
New teaser images released today reveal a number of carbon-fibre replacement parts, along with BBS alloy wheels in Michelin rubber, and a big set of carbon ceramic brakes. Fattened guards can also be seen.
As for power, TMG has confirmed a bespoke 5.0 litre V8 engine producing 447kW, and the whole thing is tuned to deliver a top speed of around 322km/h.
In its most powerful form, the regular LS offers 326kW, thanks to the 600h's 5.0 litre V8 and a pair of electric motors.
Lexus promises a 5.5 second run to 100km/h for that model, but the TMG TS-650's performance figures are still to be revealed.
It remains to be seen just what Toyota Motorsport has planned for the concept beyond showcasing the workshop's engineering prowess, but we could be looking at a preview of a new LS F flagship.
