Lexus has revealed the next stage of its 10 year-old 'L-Finesse' design philosophy, previewed here in the new LF-Gh Concept.
Officially, the LF-Gh is nothing more than a technical study, but with the luxury brand's GS sedan due for replacement in the near future, this concept is likely to preview things to come.
Lexus describes the styling of the LF-Gh as a bold style that 'unites hard and soft lines, merging enegetic and soothing elements'. Among its features are LS-inspired three-bulb headlights, a new 'spindle' grille pattern and futuristic LED taillights.
While some of its styling cues would be unlikely to make it to the showroom ( the tall, wide-open grille in particular), the LF-Gh looks to be all-but ready for a production debut, perhaps as the long-rumoured flagship GS F variant.
“Customers have been waiting for a bold concept like this from Lexus,” Lexus Vice President and GM, Mark Templin said.
“We look forward to their feedback and integrating some of these exciting design features into future Lexus vehicles.”
Lexus has revealed only a little of what we can expect to see in the cabin, and almost nothing is known about its powertrain - except that it will be a hybrid arrangement.
The LF-Gh will make its public debut debut at the New York Auto Show on April 21.
