Lamborghini SUV Announcement Expected This Week

Lamborghini is just hours away from confirming plans for a new SUV model, according to new reports out of the US.

Speculation that Lamborghini would join the ranks of sports brands adding passenger models to their growing line-ups hit fever pitch in 2012, with the unveiling of the fastbacked Urus concept.

In the years since, rumours of a production schedule for the Urus have come and gone, and reports as recent as October last year suggested Lamborghini was no closer to a decision.

However, new interest from the Italian Government, looking to boost employment numbers, appears to have done the job in getting the Urus - or an all-new design and name - over the line.
