Lamborghini Huracan Performante Claims Nurburgring Production Car Record

Lamborghini has snatched the title of fastest production car around the famed Nurburgring circuit in Germany, with the V10-powered Huracan Performante completing a blistering 6m52.01s lap.

Even more incredible, the Huracan Performante was able to set the record pace free from turbochargers, hybrid power or a carbon fibre chassis, in stark contrast to previous record holders including the Porsche 918 and Nissan GT-R Nismo.

The new Huracan Performante used a naturally aspirated V10 engine, all-wheel-drive and a dual-clutch transmission to record a 6m52.01s lap of Germany's toughest race-track during a high-pressure run in October 2016.
