Aventador Roadster Due In December, New Concept Planned: Report

Lamborghini will reveal its targa-topped Aventador Roadster in December, followed by a new concept car, according to reports out of Europe.

Lamborghini is yet to announce the coming of the Aventador Roadster, although countless reports have pointed to insider confirmation.

Recent photos out of Europe have revealed the first evidence of a topless Aventador, using detachable panels instead of a retracting roof.

It is clear in these shots that the Aventador Roadster will get two panels running the width of the cabin space - likely allowing either both or just one of the panels to be removed.

Reports out of Europe suggest the decision was made to keep the Coupe and Roadster engine covers identical, and to avoid including storage space for the roof - both angles allowing for lower production costs and development time.
