Jaguar is set to up the ante once more, making good on reports early last year that it has been working on an even-hotter version of its 380kW XKR super coupe.
Dubbed XKR-S, the special new cat is powered by Jaguar's 5.0 litre supercharged V8, modified to deliver 410kW and 680Nm of torque.
With those numbers, Jaguar says the XKR-S will leap to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds, hitting 160km/h in 8.6 seconds.
Helping the XKR-S deal with the power upgrades are modifications to its suspension, along with a revised Adaptive Dynamics system.
"The XKR-S is a bold and exciting new model for Jaguar," Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's new Global Brand Director said.
"We expect to attract both loyal and new Jaguar driving enthusiasts who still want the comfort, opulence and class only a Jaguar can offer, combined with inspirational performance."
There are also new lightweight alloy wheels at each corner, along with a number of updated and even more aggressive styling tweaks.
Jaguar will release more details and images when the XKR-S is unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, next month.
