Renault has issued a recall for its Trafic III work van in Australia this week, due to a potential problem with the rear axle.
The carmaker had identified a bolt on the Panhard rod which might not have been tightened to specification during construction.
Drivers may notice an abnormal noise from the rear of the vehicle, which may be accompanied by tyre friction inside the wheel arch.
If left unattended, the bolt may part company from the vehicle, potentially leading to unstable handling and the risk of a collision.
Affected models were sold locally from July 2015 to January of last year, and 1472 examples are on the recall list for Australia.
