When UK dentist James Hull announced he was selling a collection of 543 British cars that he had amassed over the years, the news travelled quickly.

But finding a buyer with the right combination of desire, the ability to store and maintain the fleet and the cash to make the initial purchase was always going to be difficult.

Enter Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), whose Special Operations division couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring many of Hull’s classics back to where they first originated.

Among the fleet is an SS100, early E-Types, a rare alloy XK120 and an MK X owned by ‘Mr Jaguar’ Sir William Lyons.
