Hyundai’s performance ‘N’ program is in full swing, with the first model undergoing testing in the wintery grips of Arjeplog, Sweden on the edge of the Arctic Circle.
The test will see the i30 N receive some fine tuning for its ESC (Electronic Stability Control), LSD (Limited Slip Differential), steering, dampers, suspension and tyres.
At the wheel is none other than World Rally Championship driver Thierry Neuville, and Neuville said wannabe race drivers will feel at home driving the i30 N.
“So many people have been looking forward to this car, so it’s a pleasure for me to be testing it,” Neuville said.
“The engineers have done a good job on the gearbox and the differential. There is good traction and stability in the slippery testing conditions and it’s very easy to handle. A normal driver should get a sensation similar to a race car.”
