Suzuki has used the Frankfurt Motor Show to reveal its new small car challenger, which sees the return of the Baleno nameplate.

Built on an all new platform, and offered with a new, efficient turbocharged engine, or mild hybrid system, the Baleno would be pitched as a Corolla competitor.

Styling is closely based on the iK-2 concept shown earlier this year and follows what Suzuki calls its “liquid Flow” design theme, including the blacked-out A and B-pillars of the smaller Swift for a cantilevered roof effect.
