Dany Bahar, the sacked boss of Group Lotus, has reportedly moved to sue the struggling sports car maker.

The Turkish born Swiss was dismissed at the end of an investigation by Lotus' owner DRB-Hicom into Bahar's conduct.

That was amid rumours Bahar used Lotus funds to extensively refurbish his several houses.

Swiss newspaper Bilanz reports that Bahar is filing a suit in London's High Court for wrongful termination.

The report said Bahar, 40, denies the claims about renovating his homes with Lotus money.

And he also reportedly denies improperly using company funds for private jets and helicopters.

Officially, Lotus and DRB-Hicom have confirmed only that Bahar was dismissed as a result of the investigation, but details have not been revealed.

DRB-Hicom remains "committed to ensure the ongoing and future business operations of the Lotus Group", MD and Lotus chairman Mohd Khamil Jamil said in a statement.
