Ferrari is reportedly preparing a new version of its F12 coupe that will set higher standards for the carmaker’s flagship model.

Called the F12 Speciale, the new model could tip the scales as much as 200kg lighter than the regular F12berlinetta (pictured), according to the UK’s Autocar.

And a Speciale Ferrari wouldn’t be worthy of the name without a power boost as well, thus the new F12 is said to boast on extra 22kW from its 6.2 litre V12 engine.

That means a new power output of 567kW - combining with the lower weight for a power-to-weight ratio of 396kW per tonne.

The exterior will reportedly be sporting a more dramatic aero package than that of the F12, while keeping weight down in virtually every aspect of its design.
