David Brown Automotive: New British Carmaker Unveiling First Model In April

An all-new luxury carmaker, based in the UK and with a very famous name, will launch its first-ever model in April this year.

David Brown Automotive, as the name may suggest, was founded by British businessman and car enthusiast, David Brown.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because the name and ‘DB’ initials - while unconnected to this new venture - are part of Aston Martin's history (it began as David Brown tractors before acquiring Aston Martin in 1947).

'DB' has endured in the marque's model designations ever since (like the DB9, et al).
