The revived Datsun brand unveiled its budget-focused Go hatch earlier this year, ahead of a launch in Russia, India, South Africa and Indonesia.

This week, the small five-seat hatch has been given a stretched sibling in the form of the seven-seat Datsun Go+.

Nearly identical to its shorter stablemate, the Go+ wears the same front and rear-end styling, and even gets the same front and rear doors.

Beyond the C-pillar is where the standout difference lies, with a longer rear quarter window transforming the Go's design into a wagon or mini-van.

The whole thing rides on the same 2450mm wheelbase that underpins the five-seat Go, and both models share Nissan's 1.2 litre petrol engine and five-speed manual transmission.

Like the regular Go, you shouldn't expect to see the Go+ in Australia.
