Rockstars around the world will be ditching their Tarago tour vans if Citroen's latest people-moving concept has a production future. This is the Citroen Tubik.
Looking like an angry albino pig, the Tubik concept enters as an homage to Citroen's TUB vans of the early 20th century. The Citroen Type H, introduced in 1948, sold half a million units over its 34-year lifetime.
In concept form, the Tubik sits on 22-inch wheels and is envisioned as a luxurious transporter with three versatile lounge rows in the rear, and an enclosed driver space up front.
Citroen says there's room for up to nine occupants, with seating options including a front row that can face forward or to the rear, and the middle row can even be converted into a table.
Power for the Tubik is provided by Citroen's diesel-electric Hybrid4 system, although no specific power figures have been offered.
Watch for more details to follow the Tubik's debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, and catch all our Frankfurt news here.
