Another year, another NFL Superbowl opportunity for brands to capitalise on the attention of millions of rapt viewers in one sitting.

Mixed in with the bazillion-dollar-budget food, film and video game ads, this year’s Superbowl breaks featured a flood of clever new carmaker clips.

Among them was the first reveal of Nissan’s new Maxima, a BMW ad that compares the BMW i3 to the early days of the internet, Pierce Brosnan reliving his Bond days with the Kia Sorento and Lexus’s new RC playing with some ‘mini me’ RC cars.

Volvo also showed off a campaign that would see it give away five XC60 SUVs instead of spending big on prime-time advertising, while Hyundai revealed a campaign that would air in Canada only.

Catch those and a few more below, and tell us which was your fave in the comments.
