BMW Offers First Obscure Official M2 Teaser

Fans of the blue and white roundel have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of a performance flagship to sit at the top of the 2 Series range.

After months of speculation, BMW has finally kicked-off a teaser campaign for the muscled-up coupe… Perhaps.

An incredibly enigmatic image (even by automaker standards) has appeared on the company’s Facebook page in Germany, with the caption "Leidenschaftliche Performance. Freuen Sie sich auf einen spannenden Oktober!"

If your German is as good as mine, that translates to: "Passionate Performance. Look forward to an exciting October!" according to Google.

And the image itself? A curved road, glow-in-the-dark ripple strips, and a floating M logo. No car, no shadowy silhouette, no creatively-cropped detail shot.

As for the car itself, the flood of official info is sure to unleash soon.
