BMW 4 Series Convertible Spied

BMW's new 4 Series Coupe finally made its global debut earlier this month, replacing its 3 Series predecessor. However, the Convertible version has still yet to surface.

The topless two-door isn't far away though, with new spy photos revealing the sharpest look yet at the coming 4 Series Convertible.

These photos give us our first up-close look at the convertible model, showing off details of its hard-top folding roof.

The present-day E93 3 Series drop-top is undoubtedly one of the most attractive hard-top convertibles on the market, and judging from the proportions of this camouflaged prototype, its replacement is shaping up to be just as handsome.

As with the Coupe, styling for the new Convertible is largely a mirror of its sedan and wagon counterparts, while mixing a broader and more low-slung look into the recipe.

Familiar styling elements include the same long bonnet, swooping glasshouse and short rear deck that made the two-door 3 Series models so popular.

Engine options will likely include the same same four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines from the all-new F30 3 Series sedan and 4 Series Coupe, from the 135kW 420i through to the 225kW 435i.
