First the Q7, then the Q5 and Q3. Now, if the rumours are correct, Audi is on the cusp of releasing yet another crossover.

Expected to be called the Q2, Audi's next crossover is believed to be a compact SUV that will share its platform with the next-generation Skoda Yeti.

A three-door concept is reportedly being prepared for a global debut at the Paris Motor Show later this year, however the production version isn't expected to go on sale until early 2015.

Designed to compete with the MINI Countryman Coupe, the Q2 is expected to measure just over four metres long, with a wheelbase of 2.5 metres.

Powertrains will likely be VW-sourced turbo fours, with a 1.4 turbo petrol four, 1.6 turbodiesel and 2.0 turbodiesel driving either the front wheels or all four wheels.

Following the lead of the recently revealed SQ5, a high-performance S-badged variant may be also be offered with a 2.0 litre turbo petrol four.
