Audi has cut up to $9000 from models in its A6 line-up to make room for its new 3.0 TDI Biturbo performer, due here in February.

Revealed early last year, the new 3.0 TDI Biturbo model offers a hefty 230kW and 650Nm, besting the regular 3.0 TDI and even bettering the 3.0 TFSI petrol engine.

The new model's upcoming debut has seen the 2013 A6 3.0 TDI quattro sedan's Manufacturer List Price fall to $107,500.

Similarly, the 3.0 TFSI is now priced at $114,000 MLP, dropping by $7000, and the 2.8 FSI quattro has fallen $2400 to $91,000.

Audi has also set its reversing camera as standard equipment across the A6 range, and a new Technik package is also available.

Priced at $4950, the pack offers a 360° simulated top-view camera system, LED headlights with high-beam assist, four-zone climate control and an electric glass sunroof.

As for the incoming 3.0 TDI Biturbo model, it becomes the range's new flagship model (short of the RS 6 Avant, that is), compared to the 180kW/580Nm 3.0 TDI and the 228kW 3.0 TFSI petrol model.
